About Us

Husband Equestrian was founded on years of international experience, competitive success, and a genuine passion for horses. After graduating from the Racing & Equestrian Academy in 2004 with an International Level 1 Teaching Qualification (Module 5), our founders spent two years overseas gaining hands-on experience in teaching, managing competitive yards, schooling and producing horses, and competing in Dressage and Showjumping. Returning to South Africa, they opened Willows Equestrian Centre in Benoni in 2011, producing competitive Pony Riders, Juniors, and Adults, with many riders selected for SA Junior Teams, Provincial Teams, and SANESA Nationals, while also competing themselves in Open Level Showjumping and producing young warmbloods. In 2017, they moved to Nelspruit to freelance instruct, successfully training riders of all levels, and in 2022 they opened Husband Equestrian, their current yard. With the added distinction of a Level 2 International Teaching Qualification (Module 6), they are the only stable in Nelspruit operating at this level, providing world-class training, livery care, and instruction that helps both horse and rider achieve their full potential.
